Launching

Ok, finally I've got my own blog. Before I start writing *invaluable* posts, I'd like to introduce myself.
My name is Timo. I've been working as Java Developer for Senacor Technologies since 2000. For seven years now, I've been working on different projects in the finance sector as technical lead and architect.
Since I've learned quite a lot in this time and I've had the great luck of meeting many interesting people, I've decided to put down my experiences and my thoughts about software development with JEE in a blog.
As you will notice very soon, one of my pet subjects is the architecture of web applications. There are two reasons for that.
First of all, I believe that, while there are many good pattern languages for JEE middlewares, there are almost none for JEE frontends. When I started my career in 2000, MVC was the buzzword. Well, in 2007 it still is on many projects. Now, that isn't bad, of course. MVC is a good pattern. But only one pattern by far isn't sufficient for designing complex web applications. It appeared to me, that only a little has changed since 2000.
Second, I'm team member of an OpenSource project called Zoning, that we've released last week. Zoning brings some new aspects to JEE web development and if you are interested in that subject, you definitely should have a look at it. I'm very confident, that this piece of software can improve your web application projects.
That's all for now. :-)
